Some of the content in www.mozilla.org/performance is redirecting to the Performance pages on wiki.mozilla.org but there are other pages in that directory that should either be migrated to the wiki or to MDC or archived if no longer used. For instance, the following Mac performance page hasn't been updated (other than HTML fixes) since 2001 and I assume it is no longer being used.

The "Mac OS X" tools part of that page probably could use factoring out into a new document, but yeah.... most of that page is OS9-specific.
David, would it be difficult to make a list of the pages we're looking at here? If not, that would help with having a checklist to go through and make a decision on each.

In terms of a checklist of pages, you can see what's currently in the performance directory on the site at
http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-org/source/html/performance/
And here are the existing redirects that have are currently set up:
Redirect permanent /performance/tinderbox-tests.html http://wiki.mozilla.org/Performance:Tinderbox_Tests
Redirect permanent /performance/index.html http://wiki.mozilla.org/Performance:Home_Page
Redirect permanent /performance/leak-brownbag.html http://wiki.mozilla.org/Performance:Leak_Tools
If there's any additional information you could use, let me know.

test-cases/ -- last I checked, the tinderbox DHTML test uses these. If it's
made its own copy, these could go.
Performance_Project.html -- worth moving the still-open things to a todo list,
perhaps. Then it can go.
footprint-reduction-techniques.html -- worth migrating, perhaps
jsprofiler.html -- not sure whether this has bearing on reality
leak-tutorial.html -- this needs to be migrated
mac-performance.html -- the OSX part is worth saving/migrating and expanding out
projects.html -- we should get bugs filed on some of these (e.g. the image size
caching)
refcnt-balancer.html -- needs to be migrated
tasklist.html -- might be worth turning into a todo
tinderbox-tests.html -- should be removed, since it's been migrated!
tools.html -- should probably be migrated
Everything else looks to me like it can be gotten rid of

To follow up on this bug, archiving legacy content is now a requirement for being able to move forward with the mozilla.org/.com merge.
If there is no plan to manually migrate this content in the short term, we will go ahead with moving this content off of www.mozilla.org and putting it someplace where you can decide what to do with it on your own schedule. That may be either the www-archive.mozilla.org site or an archive section of MDN.

/performance pages archived and existing redirects moved to the main .htaccess file in r89042.
Re comment #3, it is still possible to move over any useful content from the www-archive.mozilla.org site (or from SVN) if this is desired. For instance, the footprint-reduction-techniques.html page is still at
http://www-archive.mozilla.org/performance/footprint-reduction-techniques.html
