**Description** When trying to save any web page to a directory which the user does not have permission, browser outputs an "unknow error" message box and when ok is pressed the browser closes. **Steps to reproduce the bug** 1) go to mozilla.org 2) try saving on /etc or any other dir without the appropiate write permission. 3) press ok when dialog box of "unknown error" appears. **Result** Browser is terminated. **Expected Results** A dialog box that says "Permission denied" and 3 buttons one to choose another directory, one to introduce the appropiate su password and one to cancel. **Build Information** Build obtained from the installer from ftp "latest". Build ID 2000071520 Running on Redhat 6.2 linux 2.2.16 on a i686 in GNOME-Sawmill
This relates to bug 23821, which supposedly has been fixed. Confirmed on Linux 2000071609.

This crash is not possible under WinNT - it is not possible to get past the permission-checking in the built into the OS-provided Save As dialog. This /does/ look like a regression of bug 23821, "No write permission on file: save file dies; no alert". Bringing to the attention of Bill Law, and passing to the XP Apps component.
