We need a way of bringing up a controls relevant to a particular part of the content area, as in a right-click menu on the desktop. Current leading contender: tab and hold, with some immediate visual feedback (countdown?) that there's something to keep holding for.
"tab and hold" -> "tap and hold"

This is what it could look like:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/UI/Designs/TouchScreen/workingUI/CSM

The mechanism could be that to tap an hold an area of ~60px for >500ms would invoke the CSM

Visual feedback could be a tricky thing to do. Especially if the user is using her finger to open it cause any small icon or animation could be hidden under the users finger. Maybe some pulsating tap indicator?
