But since that bug is already closed, I'd like to bring this up again as a new bug. The today pane can currently only be switched on in a calendar or task tab. But it is extremely desirable to have the today pane in mail view right next to the email message. In a productivity tool like Thunderbird, new mail, upcoming events and tasks to work on - that is exactly what I want to see at first glance and keep an eye on during the working day. When spread over multiple tabs it's just hidden away from view. Reproducible: Always
