User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009011912 Firefox/3.0.6 Build Identifier: Thunderbird Version 2.0.0.19(20081209) Strange Blank e-mails appear in sub folder with date 01/01/1970 8:00 AM when I move the mail from the inbox of my Thunderbird to the subfolder. I am using a Mac with Mac OSX 10.4.11. I have scanned my Mac by Clam XAV, no virus was found. I have seen this strange mail on a PC in my previous company I was working for, but they are using Netscape 7 on Windows XP, that Windows XP machines had been scanned by Norton, no virus found. Also, I have not transferred or us any files from that Windows XP machine to my Mac. Since, a rumour mentioned that Thunderbird was based on Netscape, so, will it be a bug ? As both Anti-virus, Norton and Clam Xav can find nothing. Reproducible: Sometimes

If this strange 01/01/1970 8:00 AM e-mail appear in Netscape 7 mailbox on Windows XP, it will delete all the contents of the mails inside the same folder, leaving heading and sender e-mail address. However, on Thunderbird version 2.0.0.19 running on Mac with Mac OSX 10.4.11, it do not create much damages as Windows. But using Norton antivirus on Windows XP, and Clam XAV, no virus was found even this strange mail appeared.

I have re-created this problem again, if I move a certain quantity of e-mail from "Inbox" to other subfolders, the total volume of mail was more than 3MB. During the moving of those mails, if I interrupt the destination subfolder, this strange blank mail will appeared.
Is this an imap or pop3 Account ?
patrick can you still reproduce this in version 3.1?
