When multiple folders are selected in the folder pane, the context menu currently shows only Properties (which doesn't work, but that's another bug that I'll file in a minute). Instead it may as well show Mark Folder Read. For that to work we'd have to port bug 496543 (which makes MsgMarkAllRead() work for multi-folder selections) and enable the context menu command (and optionally also the menu entry including Message/Mark) for multi-folder selections.
I think the right thing to do is make the context menu do something sensible for multi-folder selections in the first place. That's bug 50767. This bug can and should be done as part of that.
