User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.22 Cannot open an email message from another program. Message comes up "Microsoft Office Outlook": Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request." MS Outlook has NEVER been my default email client. I was able to create emails from other programs under 2.0.0.21. In the new update to 2.0.0.22 this no longer works. I reinstalled 2.0.0.21. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go into any program that allows you to send an email 2. try to send an email 3. message appears.
This bug is a disaster for me. I use this function all the time. How do you go back to 2.0.0.21?

This was a disaster for me, took me a few minutes to realize that is was .22. You can go back to .21 here: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/2.0.0.21/win32/en-US/ Be sure to disable the auto-updating otherwise you will be back at .22 in no time.
Switching the default email program in the control panel to something else and then starting Thunderbird again fixed it for me.
I tried that, I toggled it in the control panel "internet options" to Outlook and back to Thunderbird, didn't clear it for me. I completely uninstalled outlook, still didn't work, uninstalled .22 and reinstalled .22 clean, still didn't clear it....rolled back to .21 and all was perfectly fine again.
