I wish firefox to have better behavior for tab tearing similiar to the one in google chrome.
When you tear a tab it doesnt leave the tab inside its window it either moves the entire window itself or tears the tab from its window.
Basiclly a similar behivor can be achived in firefox by just hiding the tab you tear and if its the only tab in the window, hiding that window to.
Reproducible: Always
With Firefox 3.5 tab tearing to create a new window with that tab is built in or are you asking for something else?
I know its built in :P
I am asking for improving this feature.
When i tear a tab for example in order to merge it into a new window the window that i torn that tab from is still visible and gets in the way of draging and droping it into the other window.
So perhaps some improvment can be made there?
Ohhh, so you are trying to drag it into an already open window? I was about to say you can just drop the tab even on page content to open a new window. You can always drag the tab down to the taskbar onto the other window and then drop it anywhere inside that window.

As long as the window you are dragging to is not minimized (bug 501500) you can drag to the application bar and wait for the program focus to change and drop the tab.
