Do you drag the tab just a bit when you click? Even just holding your mouse down and moving it a little bit can open a new window. That would be the new tab dragging feature you made in Firefox 3.5
Version: unspecified → 3.5 Branch
No drag. Just click. And its sporadic. I'm very sure of what transpired before the error. It just acts like it has a mind of its own and opens a new window. I have to drag it back to orig window.
There are kinda of related unconfirmed bugs, bug 502594 and bug 501933. The first one reported it happens in safe mode, second one hasn't replied.
This has happened to me also in 3.5.1 CONFIRMRED VERY annoying. I think I'm going back to 3.0.11
i don't know what the common denominator is, but all i do is click on a certain tab and it will open in a new FF window by itself. I have to drag it back to the original window. A real pain. I will say this, it seems to do it quite often on my tab for my Joomla admin for some reason. I usually just give up and use the two windows. I'm going back to. FF 3.5+ has caused multiple errors and crashed twice now. Really disappointed in FF. They were supposed to be the solid rock in the browser world. :(
Are you clicking the tab and then moving the mouse downward back into the page content? I don't mean dragging the tab.
No. as stated before, simply clicking on the tab. its totally random. i don't know how to put it more simply. I am just clicking on the tab in normal fashion. As you can see, someone else is having same problem. It appears maybe the feature you are referring is too sensitive. Its very annoying.

Ok, you you are clicking the tab to focus that tab and then not moving the mouse at all? You just leave it in the exact same spot and then eventually a new window opens with that tab? The reason I'm asking is because there is a bug that after clicking the tab to give it focus and moving the mouse down like back into the page content, the same thing happens.
i feel i am just clicking on the tab to focus. however, i do click pretty fast between development environments and sites that there could be a very minute drag. however, i have never had this error is previous versions and my clicking/navigation habits are the same.
