Glenn is the libpng maintainer, and needs tryserver access to test things with firefox (see bug 504805). If I'm not mistaken, it's possible to get tryserver access for people without commit access. Can we get it for glenn?

So, we could give Glenn an LDAP account so that he could use the try server web interface, but we have no such policy for giving access to push directly to the try server via Hg due to the other things that access to that would grant. Let me look up what I said last time about this.
OS: Mac OS X → All
Hardware: x86 → All

Right, this is a dupe, of bug #393298. I got LDAP access, and actually set up an account, but could not have Try-server access. Giving me access would open up a security problem. I assume (hope) that didn't mean with me in particular but that it would establish a dangerous precedent.

Yeah, let's just do the same thing we did with bug 475461.
IT, this is just for an LDAP account in o=net. No special privileges.
Summary: tryserver access for Glenn Randers-Pehrson → LDAP account request for try-server access for Glenn Randers-Pehrson

Never mind, I will work out a way of testing on one of the platforms I use. Give me a couple of days.

So, you don't want try server access?

Glenn - the tryserver can be handy since it builds, runs unit tests, and does performance testing on all the platforms that mozilla supports. I'd imagine your libpng update patches might land much faster if you mentioned that they successfully passed through the tryserver. I'd still think you should have access...

OK. If it doesn't establish a precedent for some kind of security problem, then fine, I would not mind having direct access instead of having to ask Joe to run the tests.

Yeah, I agree that you should have access -- we need to work this out on our end.
