So here's the bug.

(It seems to me that the problem will lie closer to line 126, or perhaps something else that isn't setting the correct attributes on the tab.)

Hi,

What is the right tab icon?
I found the following tab icons currently used in folderPane.css. 
/mail/themes/pinstripe/mail/icons/message-news.png
/mail/themes/pinstripe/mail/icons/server-newsblog.png
But the visible feed icon is neither and I couldn't find which one is that. 

Are these the ones to be changed?And is server-newsblog.png the right one?

server-newsblog.png should be the right one. Looks like in the screenshot server-mail.png is used.

I think this was fixed in the icon revamp in bug 539837.
