516800 - After TBird crash, address book folder I was working on is empty

I was adding to an address book folder (about 100 email addresses) when I got an error message and TBird closed. (I did not pay attention to the message, because it offers to send a report, and on my little wireless network these do not ever work).  When I reloaded, the folder was there in the address book, but was empty.  Any way to recover the data?  Machine has not been rebooted, rest of personal address book is fine, other folders in address book are fine.  There is no backup mab file and the abook one does not appear corrupted.  I was doing a laborious web search to find each address and had spent all afternoon gathering these addresses!

So the best way to fix this would be to fix bug 148169 which would give a safe way of saving the files. Therefore marking as a duplicate.
