People

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_8; de-de) AppleWebKit/531.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.3 Safari/531.9
Build Identifier: 3.0b4

No support for LDAP groups
Search field in addressbook is limited to name or email.
Advanced search is hidden in menu - no option to add it to the toolbar
In advanced search there is no option to search through all fields.
In advanced search there is no option to save search patterns.
There is no support for LDAP write - even with the correct Bind DN.

LDAP support is poor concerning the importance of LDAP in larger environments, company use etc.

Reproducible: Always
That's probably Bug 90483
Version: unspecified → 3.0
I mean bug 12409
I guess you didn't search for existing bugs before filing this one.

Bug 328199

This is probably the only thing not already covered by a bug so you could raise a fresh one just covering this part.

> There is no support for LDAP write - even with the correct Bind DN.

Bug 86405

Marking as dupe of bug 12409 as that was the first thing you mentioned.

sorry I was too LDAP minded so I missed the obvious keywords and general addressbook requests in bugzilla.

I filed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=523349 concerning the search patterns.

I would like to help the LDAP matters esp. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86405 with its impressive history. This case is also some kind of show stopper in our company.

I would be glad to help and could provide QA or simple coding skills.
