It's impossible to search the adress book either for information in "any field" or for fields _not_ listed in the pull-down list - which means it is impossible to search the address book for example for contacts in given country.
Adding "any field" as search option should be able to fix that.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open address book
2. > edit > search addresses
3.
Duplicate of Core bug 298438, related to Suite bug 134435?

Reporter, does the issue still occur in the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies?
(1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported 2.0.0.x is version 2.0.0.16)

Yes it does, and it is also very easy to check.
Also, scoping this bug to Advanced Search - Bug 298438 covers the quick search case.

Matěj, thanks for helping!
Never mind, but in this particular case this bug can't be a duplicate of bug 298438 because that bug is about AB quicksearch (in the main AB view), whereas this one, per comment 0 and comment 3, is about "Advanced Address Book Search" dialogue you'll get from AB > Edit > Search Addresses or Ctrl+Shift+F.
In fact, to my reading, per current focus and summary of this bug, this isn't a duplicate of Advanced AB search bug 184483 either, although differences are subtle:
Bug 184483: Add all contacts fields to fields dropdown in AB Advanced search dialogue (so that each field, custom fields etc. can be searched)
This bug 328199: Add a single option "Any fields" to the fields dropdown (with the effect of searching *all* fields in one go, i.e. searching the entire card).
