Hi Steven. The Customization page is now ready to be build! Please follow the link below to the design files. You will find a PSD and PDf file associated with the page. The layer comps within the PSDs spec out spacing, typography, notes and additional page states. The pages within the PDF also reflect each of the layer comp states found in the PSD. Design file: http://www.sendspace.com/file/m117q8 ----------- PERSONAS: This page features Personas in the same way as we have done in the FR and WN pages, with a mockup and mini-gallery. I have opened a bug to set up the iframe contents: Bug 523454 We'll use the same 6 designs here that we've featured on the FR / WN pages. ----------- COLLECTIONS: You should have the appropriate contents for each tab in the PSD files. The intention is to show a brief description of the collection, display a highlighted Add-on within the collection, along with the top 6 below it. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks.
I forgot to mention that we have two versions of this page: One for Firefox 3.6 users, and another for all others. The difference is in the implementation (not the design) and has to do with the Personas feature which is only baked into 3.6. The goal is to give non-Firefox/3.6 users the ability to get a feel for Personas with a dynamic mockup, which would then echo the same live preview feature we have on the other pages, except that instead of your actual chrome changing, you'd see the mockup change as you scroll over the thumbnails. If possible, I'd prefer to see a "smooth" transition as the mockup changes between designs. Please let me know if I should file a separate bug for this, or if you see any issues with the specs I've described. Thanks.
Just want to verify the non-Firefox/3.6 functionality will not be an iframe pointed at getpersonas.com. There's no need for it to be hosted there and the less integration points between the two sites the better.
Just checking in to see if you needed anything else from me to start this -- or if you had something already staged and I'm missing a link. Thanks.
Tara, can you confirm Ryan's question from comment #2? I think his suggestion makes sense. There's no reason I know of to have the non-3.6 functionality use an iframe as it will really just be a local Javascript functionality mimicking the preview functionality for browsers that don't support it. Tara, can you create a separate bug for that functionality?
Hey Steven, sorry for the late response. The non-Firefox/3.6 functionality will not be an iframe pointed at getpersonas.com - as both you and Ryan pointed out. It should just be a dynamic mockup with images stored locally. I'll file a separate bug for that. Thanks!
Depends on: 525019
This page is now setup to display the getpersonas.com iframe to 3.6 users and the javascript-fallback preview functionality from bug 525019 to everyone else.
Steven, anything left to do here?
I think we're all set.

One more nit - I should have caught this earlier, but let's change the subhead to "Personas: Your Firefox, Your Style" Thanks!

Just noticed that here: http://www-3.6.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/customize/#feature-shopping , the description for the "Invisible Hand" add-on is the same as the one for ESPN under the Sports tab: "Get the latest sports news, scores, and highlights."

Great catch, thanks Irina. Steven, when you have a sec please change that text to read "Automatically shows a discreet notification when a better price is available on a product you're browsing."
