In group mode, double click on header shouldn't open messages...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Switch in group mode (group by date)
2.Double click on old messages 
3.
Actual Results:  
All old message (i've 2000+ old messages) are open in tabs instead of "Opening" the group (as it was in TB2)

Expected Results:  
double click on group header should only expand the group and not opening the messages in tabs

when you double click on the group header, the messages are open, but the are sometimes blank... (no title, no body)

Anything in Tools -> Error console ?

If you change mail.operate_on_msgs_in_collapsed_threads to false does it fixes the issue ?

mail.operate_on_msgs_in_collapsed_threads -> false

fix the double click problem...

But there's no more summary in the message pane on single click (which is a really good improvment) and double click on group header doesn't expand the group as it SHOULD do...

setting blocking request to 3.0 but my target request is 3.1.

WARNING!

If you double-click (by mistake) -on a header with (>~3000 message), you can freeze/crash thunderbird...

If this were the last bug standing, I don't think we'd hold the release for this, so marking as blocking-.  clarkbw should feel free to override if he wishes, however...
