Nit: Use this bug to fix Bug 538269 as well. if you do fix that here, just re-review me on its port (or merge of its port and this patch).

I had considered it, but as that bug is not fixed yet, I'll just do it in a future bug...

Oh, I think I didn't plan on porting this to MOZILLA_1_9_2_BRANCH,
but that should do no harm and the correct fix (if need be) would be to port the Core patch to m-1.9.2 too,
so this should be fine as is :-|
