Build Identifier: Firefox 3.6
Firefox does not load for web preview when working with Dreamweaver CS4. I have loaded it several times but it will not preview the Dreamweaver html files.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create webpage in Dreamweaver CS4
2.Select "File"-->Preview in Browser-->Firefox
3.Firefox opens to my "home page" set in Preferences; the webpage from Dreamweaver NEVER OPENS.
Actual Results:
Webpage Preview in Dreamweaver CS4 using Firefox 3.6 does not work-EVER.
Expected Results:
Webpage designed in Dreamweaver CS4 SHOULD have opened for a wysiwyg preview/Live preview.
I deleted Firefox 3.6 and reinstalled 3.5.7 and the "Preview" feature in Dreamweaver CS4 works just fine.

Is the path or filename with a space ?
I can confirm FF 3.6 does not show preview with Dreamweaver CS3 either. (Mac OS X 10.4.11). No spaces in the file name.
Clicking "Preview in FF" in dreamweaver causes the active tab in Firefox to come to the front, but not the file to be previewed.
It also does not work with cs3 dreamweaver. I had to go back to 3.5.7ff and it works fine. Safari it does work in either one cs3 or cs4 DW but most do not use safari.
I have the same problem with Dreamweaver CS4.Firefox 3.6 opens, but does not view the page. Safari and Opera work fine. I have to go back to older version of FF.
I have the same problem on my imac. And I can't either open the local file (html). Only if the file html is on the Desktop firefox can open the file.
I have the same problem on my iMac running OSX 10.6.2.
Was perfectly OK with Firefox until version 3.6. Now when trying to preview any file from within Dreamweaver CS4 the screen focuses on the Firefox window with whatever happened to be open already in the browser, no sign of the file I want to preview.
If I try to select an html file from my iMac and "Open With" Firefox, I see the same thing.
However on poking around a bit more I now see that there was a space in one of the folder names in my folder structure so that the path for the files I tried had a space. When I tried previewing or opening a file where none of the names in the folder structure had a space, everything worked OK.
This is a really annoying fault - I don't want to have to go and re-name everything on my machine. Firefox has been able to handle spaces for ages, why change now?
It might not be so bad if that was the only fault in this version of Firefox. Unfortunately one of my websites is now behaving badly in this version, it's fine with everything else.

seems to be different bugs:
- Files on server (or local) can't previewed in FF from DW if accessed by http://
Systems OS X (10.5/10.6 10.4?)
and Bug 530064:
- files with spaces in the name or path can't opened in Firefox

Removing any spaces in file names & folders within path does not solve this issue for me (Dreamweaver CS3, Firefox 3.6.2, Intel iMac OSX 10.5.8) -previewing from Dreamweaver still just gives focus to the most recent FF window but does not show the DW document. This is a royal PITA.

Just an addendum here - I tried quitting FF, then previewing from Dreamweaver in FF (ie cause Dreamweaver to launch FF) which resulted in Firefox opening in Safe Mode (but only to my homepage, again not to the DW requested page). I've never seen FF open in safe mode before!

Please do not mark this issue resolved. It is still a major issue.

This bug from the reporter is not an issue for him because he didn't respond.
You mean another bug which is marked fixed (AFAIK) because it's already fixed in the source

FireFox does not preview file from dreamweaver. When I try to use it for previewing a file from dreamweaver I get the Home Page.
