User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100204 Minefield/3.7a1pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100204 Minefield/3.7a1pre Every time I browse to Gotmilk and Grooveshark the browser freezes, I cannot switch between tabs. I have to kill all mozilla-runtimes.exe I see in the Task Manager before the browser goes back to normal. Then I have to reload the tab because it shows a black square. Then it freezes again. Gotmilk doesn't load. Grooveshark loads and plays the music I want but sooner or later the browser freezes and I cannot switch between tabs. I have to kill all mozilla-runtimes.exe I see in the Task Manager before the browser goes back to normal. Then I have to reload the tab because it shows a black square. Then it freezes again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Gotmilk on a new tab. 2.It doesn't load and the browser freezes. 3.Kill all mozilla-runtimes.exe you see on the Task Manager. 5.Gotmilk's tab shows a black square. 6.Reload Gotmilk's tab. 7.The whole proccess starts again. 1.Open Grooveshark on a new tab. 2.It loads and plays the musice selected. 3.Sooner or later the browser freezes. 4.Kill all mozilla-runtimes.exe you see on the Task Manager. 5.Gotmilk's tab shows a black square. 6.Reload Gotmilk's tab. 7.The whole proccess starts again. Actual Results: 1.Open Gotmilk on a new tab. 2.It doesn't load. 3.The browser freezes. 4.Kill all mozilla-runtimes.exe you see on the Task Manager. 5.Gotmilk's tab shows a black square. 6.Reload Gotmilk's tab. 7.The whole proccess starts again. Expected Results: 1.Open Gotmilk on a new tab. 2.It loads and you can use it normally. 3.The browser doesn't freeze. 1.Open Grooveshark on a new tab. 2.It loads and plays the musice selected. 3.The browser doesn't freeze. Today's nightly is worse than yesterday's. On yesterday's Gotmilk freezed the browser all the same but even when it took ages to load it did load at last and it was usable. On yesterday's Grooveshark freezed the browser but after killing all the mozilla-runtimes.exe on the Task Manager I could return to the tab and it continued playing.
This could be a duplicate of Bug 543819. Also bug 544130 and Bug 544173 are likely duplicates of the first one.
Today I've had two crashes on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100204 Minefield/3.7a1pre I think one is related to: http://people.mozilla.org/~johnath/bugzilla/BugzillaForHumans.ogv and the other to: http://i.techrepublic.com.com/downloads/home/Maximize.Performance.Windows.XP.pdf?tag=content;leftCol The crashes report were: http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/indexbp-915154f6-5461-4db3-90c8-40a362100205 and: http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-0e3ab186-0b46-49be-8f50-869992100205 Both times I killed the mozilla-runtimes.exe but it crashed all the same.
Gabriela, the crashes and hangs are different bugs, please file them separately so we don't get things all mixed up.
Summary: Hangs on full flash sites: Gotmilk, Grooveshark → [OOPP] Hangs on full flash sites: Gotmilk, Grooveshark
FWIW, the crash appears to be filed as bug 543764
I got a different crash for the techreport.com link (probably because I don't let PDFs load in the browser); therefore, I've filled bug 544518.
both sites WFM using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100420 Minefield/3.7a5pre ID:20100420040941 + Adobe Flash 10.1.53.21 (RC2). Gabriela?
All the bugs mentioned as possible causes are fixed, no response from reporter. Marking wfm. This can be reopened if this can be reproduced in a current trunk build. ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/
