when replying to a email the body of the email dosent appear plus i cannot write also but  i can edit the subject line same happens i forward and writing a new email

What version of thunderbird are you using ?

Same issue on any 3.x version of thunderbird on Opensuse 11.2 64 bit.

What phenomenon do you mean by "the email dosent appear" ad by "plus i cannot write"?

Does it is mean that "the body of the email dosent appear plus i cannot write also" occurs with any mail in any mail folder even just after restart of Tb?
Or your problem occurs with specific mail only, and your problem continues with any mail in any mail foler or with new mail composiion, until restart of Tb?

If former, can you reproduce your problem with -safe-mode of Tb?

If not former, do you really think that problem can be analyzed without mail data which initially produces your problem? (Here is B.M.O. Not support forum nor Help center.)

I have the same problem.  It occurs with one specific email.  If I compose a new message and then open the message in question, I can continue to type into the new compose window.  However, I can't type a new message after sending that one.
Same thing occurs in Safe Mode.

Attachment: Email I can't reply to

Once I click on reply, I can close that compose window and then I can not reply to any other email in my inbox.  I have to exit and restart T-bird.  I'm running version 3.1.9 on Windows 7 Pro, service pack 1 (didn't work on "no service pack" version either).  I've also changed the motherboard and CPU from Intel to AMD, but not because of this.
