Thunderbird 2 could display the unread and total mail counts against each folder in he folder navigation pane. When I updated to Thunderbird 3 this setting was lost and there appears to be no way no get it back.
Checking bug reports, this appears to be a reappearance of 215576 / 221726 from six years ago.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:  
Only see the unread count.

Expected Results:  
See unread and total message counts.
