User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2
Firefox crashes most of the times, while trying to close the Firefox Window. This has been observed with multiple tabs open as well a single tab open, irrespective of the URL being browsed. It even crashes when it is not connected to any site, but only displaying the local speed-dial (add-on) page.
Adblock Plus, DownloadThemAll, FireFTP, FoxClocks, Java QuickStarter, NoScript, Speed Dial, Tab Scope, Undo Closed Tab Button
Sometimes Firefox also crashes while closing any of the active tabs
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Firefox => Firefox opens with the last browse tabs
2.Open a new tab and browse any web page
3.Close the tabs one by One
4.Close the Firefox Window.
Actual Results:
Firefox crashes either in Step3 (closing the tabs) or in step4 (closing the Window) and the crash reporter appears
Expected Results:
Firefox should Quit gracefully, without crashing

Couple of things it could be. Install adobe acrobat 9.3.1 or later. Bug 531551
Or, bug 501429, the google talk plugin.

probably Google Talk plugin is the culprit. Firefox has not crashed since I disabled this plugin. However, this does not fix the bug. The code should be robust enough to at least exit gracefully even in case of errors.
Third party addons and plugins should not be able to crash the software.
