We need to enable the localization of SUMO in Scottish Gaelic [gd].
Michael, Kevin, this is one of the better places to get the community to help out directly.
And, Michael, Kevin, we'd need "Scottish Gaelic" in Scottish Gaelic again to set this up, please add that here, utf-8 encoded. Thanks.

This adds Scottish Gaelic and Asturian. After the patch, they will need to be enabled in the admin area at: tiki-admin.php?page=i18n

Hey Michael, Kevin, hijacking this bug a little, but to get you started with the translation of SUMO here is a link to some very basic steps: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Translating+articles
If you have any questions, you'll find me as Topal on #sumo in IRC. And be sure to check out our contributor forums: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/3
Welcome to SUMO!

This might be a really stupid question but somehow I cannot find Scots Gaelic in the list of available languages to translate to. Or does it need time to filter through?

We mark bugs FIXED when they are done from a developer standpoint. Then we set a date when the changes are pushed to the live site (http://support.mozilla.com).
These changes are not live yet, but they should be in about two weeks. You can test that things work on our staging site, over at:
https://support-stage.mozilla.com/
I've enabled Scottish Gaelic for you over there.
Whiteboard: enable on prod

Hey Michael, Kevin what's your user names on SUMO? I'd need to make you a locale leader, at least one of you ;)
Comment 13•15 years ago

I guess that would be me - I'm akerbeltz on SUMO; thanks.

Playing around with Namoroka - just spotted that when you follow the pre-set Mozilla links in a new profile (Customize FF, Participate, About us), the link targets are dead and I get error 404:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-GB/gd/firefox/about/
http://www.mozilla.com/en-GB/gd/firefox/community/
http://www.mozilla.com/en-GB/gd/firefox/customize/
The only one that works is:
http://support.mozilla.com/gd/kb/
Is that because the /en-GB/gd shouldn't look like that or is there something I have neglected to do?

That'd be a comment/question for bug 560530.

/en-GB/gd is wrong from our point of view: it's two locales in a row.

Ok, Bugzilla Component Descriptions is complete (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=568448) and I've done all bar one string of Support Mozilla which I cannot commit because it says the plural rules must be implemented first. There is a bug for the gd plurals (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=566859) but I don't know where we're at with that.
In the meantime I will concentrate on the strings on SUMO which is, as far as I gather, the next priority?
