This WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100526 Thunderbird/3.1 Have you tried safe mode? (see https://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode for more information)
i tried safe-mode, but still has this issue.
Can you provide an imap log when you are doing it (see https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging) ?
Attached file imap log (lv5)
this is imap.log in TB 3.1rc1
(In reply to comment #4) > imap log (lv5) Log data. > 10 rename "test1" "[Gmail]/&V4NXPmh2-/test1" > 10 OK Success > 11 subscribe "[Gmail]/&V4NXPmh2-/test1" > 11 OK Success > 12 unsubscribe "test1" > 12 NO Folder doesn't exist (Failure) > 13 subscribe "[Gmail]/&V4NXPmh2-/test1/test2" > 13 OK Success > 14 unsubscribe "test1/test2" > 14 NO Folder doesn't exist (Failure) 1. You looks to use other than English(US) as Display Language:. 2. You looks to use IMAP delete model of "Move to Trash", and Trash is localized [Gmail]/Trash by Gmail. 3. Gmail IMAP looks to automatically unsubscribe renamed folder(deleted Gmail Label) Do you enable "Show subscribed folder only" option? If yes, collapse/re-expand of account resolve problem? Does problem occur with IMAP delete model of "Remove immediately" or "Mark it as deleted"?
reply inline. > Do you enable "Show subscribed folder only" option? no, i never change any setting for folder pane. > If yes, collapse/re-expand of account resolve problem? > > Does problem occur with IMAP delete model of "Remove immediately" or "Mark it > as deleted"? "Mark it as deleted" & "Remove immediately" doesn't have this problem.
Default of "Show subscribed folder only" is enabled(checked). Phenomenon was observed with Gmail IMAP, with Tb 3.0.4. Subscribe and/or collapse/re-expand of account invokes LSUB, and renamed folder is not returned to LSUB, then the deleted folders are removed. Gmail specific problem. So, it can be said INVALID. However, possibility of next with ordinal IMAP server is never ZERO. > 10 rename "test1" "[Gmail]/&V4NXPmh2-/test1" > 10 OK Success > 11 subscribe "[Gmail]/&V4NXPmh2-/test1" > 11 OK Success => At here, other client unsubscribes [Gmail]/&V4NXPmh2-/test1 > 12 unsubscribe "test1" > 12 NO Folder doesn't exist (Failure) I think folder is removed from subscription list when "NO to unsubscribe". Or, order of rename/delete and unsubscribe is better to be reversed? - unsubscribe folders from bottom to top - rename/delete top folder
