This is related to the new addon manager.

In versions <= FF 3.6 when a user installed an addon, the addon window would popup and provide a restart button.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install an addon that requires a restart
Actual Results:  
Nothing happens after to you press install.

Expected Results:  
The user should be provided with an restart button when they just installed an addon that requires a restart, both so that they have the option to restart, and so that they are informed that the addon that they just installed requires a restart before it will work.

This is related to bug 567616

I think one option would be to have a banner should appear on the top of the tab where an action occurs, be the action an install/uninstall/disable/enable, saying something along the lines of "an addon requires a restart" and which provides a restart button and a hide/ignore/go away button.

Atm, after you install an addon with the nightly that needs a restart, you have to infer that it requires a restart, the go to Tools->Add-ons then hunt for a restart button.
