Go to Edit | Mail/News Account Settings | Copies and Folders | Special Folders. If you pull down the list of folders for an imap server, the folders will come in random order.

Confirmed with 102504 win32 and 102508 linux mozilla trunk builds. The list does not get sorted alphabetically. The list appears to be sorted in order created. In mac however, after a restart of Mozilla the list is sorted alphabetically.

Same problem with the File button, and the right-click move-to function. Makes finding the destination folder hard with a big list, especially one that has to scroll off-screen.

Applies to ALL dropdown folder lists (not only IMAP), e.g. the Move-to control. They aren't in the order created. I initially created an alphabetical list of superfolders (_A_, _B_, etc) created in order. When I added second-level folders under them the folders moved to the top of the dropdown.

Build 2002011703, Win98. Created some subffolders in "Local folders". They are sorted appropriately. So, Are we still seeing this bug? I suspect the fix for bug 112301 might also fixed this one.
Yes, I'm using build 2001122617, and the problem is still there.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030102 My listing is alphabetic (case-insensitive) after system folders. ===== Unsent Messages Drafts Templates Sent Trash then created folders case-insensitive alphabetic ===== Should the system required folders be in this order ... I did not see any reference for this order ...

Using trunk build 20030325 on winxp, linux and macosx the list for my IMAP folders (I have 70 of them) are alphabetical starting after the "special" folders which is correct behavior. The default listing for Special folder is: Inbox, Drafts, Templates, Sent, Junk, Trash. Which is what I see too. My Local folders are also listed alphabetically. Tested Account Settings for Copies & Folders and the pull-outs for Move and Copy under the menu item, and the File button. wtcorrea do you see this in a more current build, if you don't have a more current build? This appears to be fixed now.
