When trying to get messages from one of my email accounts I get a modal dialog box:-
"This folder is being processed. Please wait until processing is complete to get messages."
This bug has already been reported, but in my case it only applies to 1 of 5 email accounts, so I though it worthwhile reporting.
It seems to go away for a while on restart of Thunderbird, but always returns on the same account.
I don't even understand the message, as all accounts use Local Folders, and this account gets very few emails.

We don't normally file new bugs for issues already reported. Which bug most closely matches your issue?
What about Steps? i.e. you are doing ctrl+T or clicking get messages? only once? on second attempt? pop account?
Summary: Thunderbird locks on Get Mail → Thunderbird Get Mail results in "This folder is being processed..."

Click "Get Mail".
Only once - although repeat attempts (after a delay) produce the same result.
This is a POP account.

What is difference of your problem from already fixed Bug 466933(Tb3.1 rc1fixed)?

I'm seeing this after the computer wakes up from sleep and I force my pop account to check for new messages. (probably a race condition between the automatic check and my manual check.).
Very difficult to reproduce but happens on RC2.

I have Mozilla 3.6.6 and 6 email accounts and have the same problem. However in my case, in certain occasions, once I get the error, I can NOT resolve the issue without exiting thunderbird. No matter how long I wait, I will continue to get the "Folder being processed" message. In these cases I must restart Thunderbird. If I do not, I will not get any further email messages.
This is difficult to reproduce. Sometimes I'll get the message, wait a minute, and then no more error when I click "Get all new messages". But in these rare circumstances, I will always get the error. I don't know what the difference is...
I have tried telling it to go offline and then go online to no avail. I simply have to restart TB.

Ian, if you are still on a v3.0.x release, can you drop back to v3.0.2 [1] to test whether your issue matches (*unconfirmed*) bug 562133?

Ian and Travis, do you have this issue also with latest TB 3.1.x? If is fixed, this issue could be closes as dupe of bug #466933.

This is resolved with 3.1
