Is this still a problem in the latest nightlies?

This is still a problem with build 2001081603. I have 3 pop-accounts, all are configured to check for mail at startup and automatically every 5 minutes, but moz doesn't check the servers without me clicking the "get msg"-button. So, although I enter the pw for each account at startup, no server is being checked.

Severity and Priority on this bug are too low--it's a serious pain in the neck, and will cause Real World Problems if you don't click "Get All New Messages" all day long. It's amazing (in a sort of horrifying way) that this bug is still alive after so long.

This actually happened to me with 0.9.8, even with a single POP3 server. This has been going on forever. This definitely needs to be fixed. Also priority needs to be alot higher. It definitely reduces email clients effectiveness, considerable. It is a pain that you have to check mail manually

I seem to see it too. 2002032708 on W2K. I had Moz running last night, woke up and clicked get New Mail and got a ton of messages from a while ago. Seems to work sometimes for me and not others.

Adding regression key word, and All/All for platform and OS.

With build 2002031104 (release .99) this bug occours when I use file->get new messages->get all new messages. Mail is not collected from an account where moz-mail is not storing the password. It works ok for multiple accounts on different servers where the password is stored.

I'm not sure if this is the same bug. I have the Inbox of account A as the active folder. I then send myself a message. If I click get all new messages, the message doesn't show. If I click a different folder and then click the Inbox folder of account A, the new message will show. I have it set to check every 3 minutes. If I do nothing, Mozilla will not check for new messages even after 3 minutes. This is on 2002040903 on W2K, but this has been happening for a while.

It occurs for me also. I have four POP accounts defined (I only use the first two). They are set to be checked at startup and every 1 minute; they are also set to automatically download email messages. The second one leaves it on the server. I am testing by sending myself an email to the first two accounts. I am in Mail&News and have checked emails from all accounts. I send an email to account1 and account2. When I click on "Get all new messages", it only checks and downloads the email from account1. However, if I exit Mail&News and go back, or if I wait 1 minute for the auto-check, it downloads the email from both accounts. Also, if I start Mail&News but I cancel the password dialog boxes, then "Get all new messages" doesn't work at all after that. The auto-check doesn't work either. To make it work again, I have to manually check each account and enter my password. After that, the auto-check works but the "Get all new" still only checks the first account. By the way, it doesn't matter which account is highlighted when I click "Get all new", it always checks the first one. I am using Mozilla 1.0 Gecko/20020530 on Windows NT 4.0 SP6a.

I have two imap-accounts. When I start moz for the first time I have no problems, but when my computer has been in standby mode, it sometimes wont check my imap-accounts... the problem occours on either both or none of the accounts. The 'Get Msgs' still works, but the automatic checking wont start. The problem has occoured on several versions of moz, right now I am using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016

Problems described by bug still around with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113; 4 IMAP acct on same server, 2 different POP3 accts. New mail gotten when starting up PC/Mozilla on 1st IMAP acct. Erratic behaviour after resurfacing from hibernation (XP). Only Get all new messages (All accts) works reliably

This bug is occurring with Thunderbird 0.8 on Win32 with 2 POP accounts. I experienced the same bug years ago when I last tried Thunderbird and I'm surprised it hasn't been addressed.
