User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Thunderbird 3.1.2, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.23) Gecko/20090812 Lightning/0.9 Thunderbird/2.0.0.23 Mnenhy/0.7.6.666 I'm using Thunderbird with several different IMAP accounts and I usually have different tabs open showing frequently used folders. My mail is filtered on the server, hence automatically delivered to the right folders. Clicking on the new mail notification popup shows the new mail always in first tab, thereby switching to the corresponding folder if necessary, regardless whether that folder is already open in another tab. I would like to see Thunderbird switching to the already open tab instead and leave the first (leftmost) tab where it is. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open multiple tabs with different folders (IMAP) 2. Wait for new mail to arrive and click on the new mail notification popup Actual Results: Thunderbird shows the new mail in the first (leftmost) tab. Expected Results: Thunderbird should switch to the tab where the folder containing the newly arrived mail is already opened.
