User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_4; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Safari/533.18.5
Build Identifier: Thunderbird 3.1

Running 10.6.4, on Mac mini and Intel core 2 duo laptop.

Both have upgraded rom TB 2 to TB 3.1.  Works for a fw minutes, then quits unexpectedly, and will not open up again - same error message each time

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start computer
2.click TB icon in dock.  Loas almst to InBox windoe, then" Thunderbird crashes unexpectedly"
3.
Actual Results:  
ocurred after upgrade from TB 2 to 3.1

Expected Results:  
installed and run IMAP mail

Identical on both computes with difeent chips

s.haszeldine, can you reproduce using ersion 3.1.4 is available from http://getthunderbird.com/

Wayne Merry - thanks for this pointer.  It is the version 3.1.4 off this website which is the problem.  I have re-loaded  2.0.0.21, and that works fine.

I also tried safe restart, with no change - still "quits unexpectedly"

http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Profiles sorry forgot to give you the link. Rename the file and see if Tb works.
