Description

The feeling of zippyness is key to creating a fantastic experience. On older machines, even dragging a large thumbnail appears fairly chunky. We should research the reasons for the chunkiness so that we can figure out what steps we want to take to make it feel smoother/faster.

We probably want to investigate on both Mac and Windows.

Aza, could you give me a spec of what we should consider to be an older machine?

We are currently asking the metrics team to see if we can define what an "average slow machine" looks like.

"Research" sounds pretty vague to keep in our fx4 tracking bugs. ;) Sean, please close this or punt this as appropriate.
