+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #604449 +++

Blake fixed one version of this crash in bug 604449, but crash-stats says there's more, so this bug is about the remaining parts.
No longer depends on: 604449
I just got this crash while Minefield was idle.

http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/fb73ed65-3efc-4367-8de6-033882101125

I had 5 open app tabs and 1 normal tab. Pidgin was in the foreground and I was typing on my phone when I noticed that Minefield had crashed.
With the combined signatures (see dupes and crash signatures with | xul.dll@0x...), it is #7 top crasher in 4.0b8pre for the last week.
Keywords: topcrash
Over the past 3 days, this is the #9 crash on the trunk and #7 for beta7. It would be great to get this in for beta9 if possible.
The signature:

[@ _purecall | nsCOMPtr_base::assign_from_qi(nsQueryInterface, nsID const&) | nsContentUtils::CanCallerAccess(nsPIDOMWindow*) ]

still ranks as #3 top crash on beta7, and appears to be around in beta8pre at #9. we should figure out if there is any chance of fixing this in beta8 or early in beta9.
Summary: New crash [@ nsQueryInterface::operator() ][@ nsContentUtils::CanCallerAccess ][@ nsContentUtils::CanCallerAccess(nsPIDOMWindow*) ] (sometimes when using tinderboxpushlog) → New crash [@ nsQueryInterface::operator() ][@ nsContentUtils::CanCallerAccess ][@ nsContentUtils::CanCallerAccess(nsPIDOMWindow*) ] (sometimes when using tinderboxpushlog)
I hit this yesterday:
http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-30925120-6822-4f98-9ba8-69f992101202

in a profile with AdBlock Plus installed, so that might be related.
There are a bunch of variations of this stack [@ nsCOMPtr_base::assign_from_qi(nsQueryInterface, nsID const&) | xul.dll@0xbf234b ] that have moved up into the top part of the crash stats for the last week. The ones in the top 15 total 275 crashes.
FWIW, I'm hitting this almost daily, dating back to ~ 11/14. By far the crashiest problem I've seen in Firefox nightlies to date -- any progress in diagnosing this? I could run a debug build and try catching this in gdb if that would help?
Dolske, that would indeed help, getting this in a debugger would be immensely helpful! I'm assuming you're running on windows? The reason I ask is that I'm running nightly builds on several computers here, and I've never seen this crash, nor has mrbkap, but both of us run primarily on linux.

But yeah, please get this in a debugger if you can!
I see it on OS X pretty often, FWIW.
FWIW, I've used FWIW in every comment I have made here. FYI. :P
I've never once had this crash, though I don't use facebook or google reader, But I have logged into them and browsed around kind of aggressively trying to reproduce it but couldn't. Maybe it system specific.

More info...

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101209 Firefox/4.0b8pre

Extensions:
Adblock Plus

Spec: Laptop:Core2Duo:G102M:Win7x64
Direct3D10 enabled, layers enabled
FWIW, I went through about 50 crash reports and found an interesting trend, almost every single one of these shared the same extensions, only a couple reports out of that huge sample didn't have any extensions (or just adblock) installed. I was surprised to see how high the percentile of crashes contained the listed extensions.

In order of most likely culprits:

->>>LastPass Password Manager
-Video DownloadHelper
-WOT
-NoScript

The reports that didn't contain those extensions contained extensions related to flash (downloaders, blockers), twitter, syncing tools or lots of lesser known extensions.
I'm gathering a sample all the addons installed for all the reports of the signature in comment 9 for dec. 10. I'll attach that when it finishes up soon, but looking at a sample of the first 100 reports here is the break down.

It doesn't look like there is a really a strong correlation to any one addon, but it still could be possible that there is some combination of addons that could be part of the problem.

only 40% had adblock plus, and 11% had no addons installed.

100 reports from dec 10.

Browsing through http://punknews.org causes this crash all the time for me. And it almost never happens on other websites. I believe there's something with the javascript on that site that triggers this bug.
mrbkap and I believe this is the same crash as bug 606421.

Of course, I haven't crashed again since I posted that. :/
