A link of the type <A HREF="http:faq.html">FAQ</a> does not work in Mozilla.
The page faq.html is in the current directory, but when I click on the link,
Mozilla tries to resolve "faq.html" as a host and fails. NN4, IE5, and Opera
all treat the link as relative to the current directory and load the page fine.
Mozilla is the odd man out here. I have "Enable Internet Keywords" turned off
if that makes any difference.
Tested with Mozilla 112204 on NT4.

This is not consistant with the W3C standard so we dont implement it. People
will just have to learn how to link properly.

Resolution: --- → DUPLICATE
It's a dupe of wontfix bug 22251: "Relative URLs with scheme (e.g.,
http:page.html) not loading - treated as absolute"
see also similar wontfix bug 32966: "http:/ (one slash) treated as http://
rather than /"
Verified (instead of reopening and reduping)
