Details
The context menu for the CNN sidebar shows too many items, but only in
MailNews. It works fine in the browser except for the "frame" problem (bug
61304). I didn't test with the stand-alone sidebar (the thing that Netscape
Instant Messenger uses).

FYI: on mac I do not get any context menu at all in the CNN panel? Is this
related? I am using N6 RTM on MacOS 9.

Yeah, I saw this too. Weird.
German: N6 didn't have sidebar context menus, they're only in the trunk.

According to johng, no context menu should appear in the Sidebar.
Shrirang: I found the following so I'm wondering if this bug should be assigned
to you now since Navigator also has the problem.
My results:
Build 2000-11-28-09: Win95
- Navigator - No context menu appears
- Mail - No context menu appears
Build 2000-11-28-08: Linux, Mac
- Navigator - A context menu appears
- Mail - A context menu appears

johng? Why shouldn't the sidebar have a context menu? Sidebar panels are
webpages too :)

I think this happens because Mail/News has a different idea of window._content
than Navigator. Futuring this for now until <browser/> starts coming
together...

This is caused because the sidebar normally uses the navigator context menu.
Unfortunately MailNews uses its own context menu which duplicates the sidebar
ids (in the case of the cookie context overlay the ids are triplicated!).
This means that the show/hide code affects the wrong context menu.
It might be possible to fix this using commands and commandupdaters.

Is this still a valid issue?
Sidebar was perm removed from mailnews in trunk builds on Sept. 14th, 2002.
