My current nightly rapidly ends up in offline mode, and then can't come back online, switching offline on and off has no effect. When I try to quit, it hangs on shutdown.

I clicked on analyze on the hung process, attached.

I see similar things, if I start a current Firefox or Thunderbird nightly in offline mode (with disabled Airport on Mac), than it crashes immidately. I have this since a few weeks now. This is also reported for windows: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=10158125#p10158125
This makes it impossible to read emails in TB 3.3a2pre if you are offline. :-(

xref Thunderbird bug 615018 on the startup-crash issue (if those are related).

This is requiring me to restart my browser all the time to get any work done.  We really need to figure out what caused this.

Axel, any idea what the last good build might be?  I _think_ the one I had before updating was ok, but was early November....

This needs to be made a blocker. This also happens to me daily, been happening for about a week I think. I haven't explicitly put the browser in offline mode.

Don't have a good regression range, no.

I did manage to get my local build out of it by making it start in safe mode, which took more than one try, and now it seems to work allright in non-safe mode, which also means that I can't reproduce right now.

Given bug 613998 and its resolution, even likely...

fwiw, I hit this again, but only in my opt build.  My debug build running on an identical profile is not showing the problem.  :(
