The Draft/Sent/Trash folders are created in addition to Gmails own Draft/Sent/Trash folders. If deleted they are created next time TB starts. Reproducible: Always I have a snapshoot but don't know how to attache it to this bug.

What folder do you call by "Gmails own Draft/Sent/Trash folders"? AFAIK, Gmail doesn't use folder name of "Draft" and "Sent". Do you choose other than "Display Language: English(US)" at Gmail Web Interface"? Because Gmail uses localized folder name according to your "Display Language:" setting, and because Gmail changes the localized folder name according to your "Display Language:" change, Tb considers Gmail's special folders passed in XLIST command response as folders cateorized in Tb's special folder(e.g. Inbox, Trash, Drafts, Sent, ...). Then these folders are marked as "folder for Trash", "folder for Sent", ..., and icon of folders is chaged according to the category. And, Gmail IMAP presents Gmail's special folders as folders under [Gmail] folder to IMAP client. Folder at Gmail Web Display Language: English(US) Folder at IMAP client(==Tb) Category for Tb Inbox Inbox Inbox Trash [Gmail]/Trash Trash Drafts [Gmail]/Drafts Drafts Sent Mail [Gmail]/Sent Mail Sent Spam [Gmail]/Spam Junk Starred [Gmail]/Starred All Mail [Gmail]/All Mail Archives Folder at Gmail Web Display Language: others Folder at IMAP client(==Tb) Category for Tb localized "Inbox" Inbox Inbox localized "Trash" [Gmail]/localized "Trash" Trash In contrast to it, Tb's design/implementation for special folders is: Category for Tb Folder at Tb Inbox Inbox (as defined by IMAP, alwys Inbox) Trash Folder selected at Server Settings(Move to this folder:) Junk Folder selected at Junk Settings Sent/Drafts/Archives Folder selected at Copies&Folders These folders named in English has localized name by Tb, and the localized name by Tb is shown at folder pane/folder selection list if localized Tb. As stated before, Gmail changes special folder name dynamically, but Tb's setting is static. Tb can't know your "Display Language:" until access to Gmail IMAP server, and folder names can be changed at server any time. So, default setting on folder name at Server Setings, Junk Setings, Copies&Folders, are Tb's default folder name. For Inbox, file name of Inbox is always used as defined by IMAP, and localized name by Tb is shown at folder pane if localized Tb. For Trash(Server Settings), Tb always uses trash type folder returned by XLIST([Gmail]/Trash, if Display Language: English(US)), to avoid problems. Due to this, root level Trash or other folder can not be used as trash older of Tb. It's current restriction. For other folders(Junk Setting, Copies&Folders), folders selected at Junk Setting and Copies&Folders is used. This is reson why root level Drafts of Tb(==Gmail Label of [Imap]/Drafts) is used and created. These can be said "current restriction of Tb due to particularity of Gmail IMAP". Please read Gmail's Help documents(similar to manual of digital camera, mobile phone) well before you start using Gmail IMAP. And, please change folder related selection(Server Settings, Junk Settings, Copies&Folders) according to your need(==customization of Tb). If you use localized build, localized folder name is shown at folder pane and folder selection list for real English folder name. If you use "Displan Language: other than English", Gmail/Gmail IMAP uses real localized folder name and it's shown at folder pane of folder selection list of Tb. It sufficiently confuses you, if you use localized Tb. I recommend you to use en-US Tb for initial folder related selection, if you use "Displan Language: other than English", to avoid confusion due to localized name by Tb for root level special folders.

The other folders in [GMail] Drafts, Templates, Sent Mail, Junk and Trash can not be deleted --------------------------------------------------------------------- In account settings for My_Gmail I have: Server settings Check for new messages at startup (checked) When I delete a message just mark it as deleted (checked) Copies & Folders Drafts, Archives and Templates Other -> My_Gmail -> [GMail] -> Drafts, Archives and Templates Junk Settings Disabled ---------------------------------------------------------------------

So, it's perhaps normal if you executed "Delete of mail" or "Empty Trash" without changing default setting of trash folder of IMAP delete model setting in Server Settings. Anyway, here is B.M.O, never support forum. Here is place to report Tb's real bug(flaw in Tb's program code) to developers. Could you please do next. (1) Read thru and understand meta bug 402793(put in Blocks: field of this bug), and read thru and understand bugs listed in Dependency tree for the meta bug. (2) Sort out phenomena you saw, after, (2-0) Delete and re-define you Gmail IMAP account at Tb, (2-1) Check with en-US build of Tb/Display Languge:English(US), (2-2) Check with en-US build of Tb/Display Languge:your language, (2-3) Check with your-language build of Tb/Display Languge:English(US) (2-4) Check with your-language build of Tb/Display Languge:your language (3) Rule out funny phenomenon for you due to particularity of Gmail/Gmail IMAP. (4) Extract funny phenomena for you. (5) Extract funny phenomena for you, which are surely caused by bug of Tb for you. (6) After that, please state what/which phenomenon/problem is caused by Tb's flaw in progrm code.

Can you see next phenomenon? Trash can icon is shown for AA/X-Trash, and icon is changed to ordinal one immediately. At step (3), icon for folders under [Gmail] is special icon, even after step (2). It's a kind of "current restriction" I stated before. Phenomenon at step (5) is also a kind of "current restriction" I stated before. As seen in step (5), icon of AA/X-Trash is changed back to ordinal one. It probably can be said next phenomenon. - trash of Tb is set AA/X-Trash by step (4), so trash can icon is shown. - to force [Gmail]/Trash as trash of Tb, internal setting for trash is changed from AA/X-Trash to [Gmail]/Trash, then trash can icon of AA/X-Trash is removed. For special icon of folder under [Gmail]. By XLIST support for GMAIL IMAP, one of next perhaps occurs. (a) Internal someone uses them as special folder, then special icon is used. Action at step (2) doesn't change the folder use by internal someone, so icon of folders under [Gmail] is not changed. (b) Caracteristics of "special folder" is added to folders under [Gmail] then special icon is used. Action at step (2) doesn't change the characteristics of special folder assigned to them, so icon of folders under [Gmail] is not changed. > Bug summary : Multiple Draft/Sent/Trash folders in Gmail Please distingush next. (i) folder creation of folder selected at Server Settings, Junk Settings, Copies&Folders. (ii) icon assignment by Tb for special folders selected at Server Settings, Junk Settings, Copies&Folders. Problem solved

Which do you mean by "Problem solved"? (a) Such phenomenon doesn't occur any more even after account creation of Gmail IMAP on Tb. (b) You could find workaround of such phenomenon(setting change at Copies&Folders), and you see only one folder of "icon for Tb's sent folder" in your environment.
The problem was that the folders Drafts, Sent and Trash in My_Gmail, when deleted, turned up later. anyway later. My_Gmail Inbox Drafts [Gmail] Drafts Templates Sent Mail Junk Trash Sent Trash When I unsubscribed the folders they disappeared. Now it looks as follows: My_Gmail Inbox [Gmail] Drafts Templates Sent Mail Junk Trash Which is OK
