Estonian language is not available to choose from the list. it should be, since
localization is being made and our users would be so much happier when finding
out about that one, thank you :)
over to i18n...

Hi, Naoki:

Please reassign to whomever owns Jurai's component, "accept-lang" UI/BE?

thx

I thought that adding a language is done by L10N.
This is not a localization issue. We need to supply
the list which can be localized. I guess anyone in
i18n would be OK to check in a fix for this bug.
We will be adding other languages and I need to provide
the additions list.
You can assign this to me until that list is done.
Then I will send a patch to nhotta.
Thanks.

Current additions:

Bosnian
Estonian
Summary: estonian language not available as selection → Add additional languages to Accept-Language list.
Momoi san, when you you plan to complete the list?
I want to do a single change instead of adding each language separately.
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
The list of language code is here:
http://lcweb.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/englangn.html

Wouldn't it make sense to add all the two-letter codes that aren't there already?
Henri > Wouldn't it make sense to add all the two-letter
      > codes that aren't there already?

Not really. Sending Accept-Language info to a server
should be backed up by the support for that language
in the client. We should not be including those that are
not supported in Mozilla.
in that case I would like to add Lithuanian[lt] and Latvian[lv] also.
By the way, even though we shouldn't take all of
what's in Henri's page -- we should take as many as possible.
The nominations here also remind us that these languages
need to be suported for sure.

Let's wait for another 8-10 days for specific nominations.
I will then post the new additions list to this bug
and i18n/l10n newsgroups.

Changed QA contact to ylong@netscape.com.
BTW it seems bug40103 is also covering the same topic...
Thanks for the info. I think we should let that go
as is. We will collect the rest of new additions
in this bug. Let's do this in a week or so before we
break for the holidays.
Depends on: 40103, 45130

Low priority. Mark it as P5

Bug 40103 has had a patch for Hebrew and Esperanto since November.
*** Bug 52249 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Hebrew, Esperanto, anything else?

There is a patch in bug 40103 that adds Hebrew & Esperanto. I think we should
close that bug and add the patch over here.
Tao, could you review the patch?
