Bookmark folders have a "Open All in Tabs" option... this should open up in a new tab group... or at least we should have an about:config option to do so (perhaps with default true so we can beta test it).

This might be unnecessary at times. We can always open a new group and do "Open all in tabs" there.

While I'm hesitant to make our context menus more complex, providing an option to open all in a new group would probably work as a really useful want to introduce Panorama to users who currently rely heavily on bookmark folders.
On a only tangentially related note: I would like a downclick on a bookmark folder (from the side bar, or menu) to navigate the content area to display that folders contents. I would also like users to be able to enter folder names into the location bar to do a similar browser-based navigation to a particular bookmarked site. And it would be awesome if we could re-use a lot of code from Tab View to make these folder's contents customizable. Not in the sense of creating groups, but in terms of moving and resizing objects. In that case we would also likely provide a command in the content area to open all, or open all in a new group. (full write up of the idea here: http://blog.mozilla.com/faaborg/2009/10/13/browsing-your-personal-web/ )
You could imagine the "open all in new group" command in this window:

Just to add some context to my original idea: the "Bookmark All Tabs" menu item now applies only to currently visible tabs... i.e., it will bookmark the current tab group as a folder.
Taking whole tab groups (think of them as "tasks") between bookmarks and live tabs becomes really natural if "open all in tabs" essentially does the reverse of this action, i.e. opening them all up in a new group.

Note that, if you want to restore a bookmark folder into a tab group without adding any extra tabs, it actually isn't super simple: you can't create an empty group and target it for "extraction" of the bookmarks.

Currently the Panorama toolbar button is hidden (not in the toolbar) by default. If an user opens a tab group then existing tabs will look lost accidentally because there. And, even if there is the Panorama button, it seems too small to indicate what's happen. I think it requires a visual feedback if the current "open all in tabs" is replaced for Panorama.

Hi there.
I would be EXTREMELLY happy if this would be achivable with CTRL + Left Click on "Open All in Tabs".
Think about it: If you can Ctrl+Click to open a Link in a new tab, it would make complete sense to Ctrl+Click on "Open All in Tabs" to open it in a new Group (it could even get the Folder's name has the Group's name).
"Power users" would be able to use it and it would not make context menus more complex. It would make everybody happy and it would be just the addition of a simple Shortcut.
I use this feature every-single-day a lot of times per day. It is essencial for my work and one of the major reasons i use Firefox.
The simple addition of this shortcut (for which i searched and searched and searched for an addon whitout success) would get me free of the frustration of, after opening FF, having to
CTRL+Shift+E, then Double-Click on an empty space to create a new group, then get to the bookmark folder i want to open, then Select "Open All in Tabs"... (and then doing this steps everytime-single-time to every-single-folder folder i want to open...)
please, consider it...
Thanks
