When you restart firefox while a file is downloading, it reopens all the tabs. It can be a privacy problem.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open firefox and several tabs
2. Download a file from somewhere using firefox (let the "downloads" window open)
3. Close firefox main window
4. Open firefox again
Actual Results:
it reopens with all previously open tabs
Expected Results:
It should open an empty firefox

What is you Firefox setting for loading at statup ?
Updated•14 years ago

Version: unspecified → Trunk
Where is this setting ? I can't find it anymore.
But when I open a new Firefox from scratch (without a download window already open), it opens a "clean" firefox (without old tabs).
There is the same problem if you let any window created by firefox open (for example page info, when you click on the website > more info).

No, I see to be able to reproduce on Windows with Minefield as well as Linux

This is other fallout from the rules we changed for when to restore a not-quite-closed session before quitting (yes, bug 592822). I modified bug 628043 (which was just about the Library window) to be about the broad case - any secondary windows left open be it the library, active download, page info, etc. So duping to that bug.

Should be just windows & linux.
