When using the Windows High Contrast Black theme to set white text on a white background the address book is displayed as white text on a white background.

This problem has existed in the Search results for years (Bug 575841 still not fixed). The Address Booked worked until the last TB upgrade and now it's passed to the address book.



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open display settings
2. Select High contrst Black theme
3. Open TB address book and search
Actual Results:  
Can only see text if you select it to highlight it ie. one line at a time.


If background colour is hard coded then so to must the text colour. Setting one and taking the other from the OS colours causes this. Hard both or neither. Don't do half and half.

I suppose that you use TB 3.1.x: this issue is fixes in TB 3.3.x

You are right. I'm on 3.1.9. TB check for update reports this as the current version!

Sorry for the duplication. I did search first but it's difficult going through the results with eyesight like mine (hence the HCB colour usage).

3.3 seems to be in Alpha testing and not available from the download sites which are providing 3.1.9. I don't really want to get into using alpha or beta versions.

It would be good if the fix could be backported to 3.1. Being able to see the address book is pretty much essential.
