I'll get the empty list search/replaced out.
It seems that there is one unclosed div ("wrapper"?) in whatsnew/index.html.

While I understand that it's mostly a matter of taste, I personally dislike the sloppiness of HTML5 syntax. We're professionals, can't we use XHTML5 instead?
Unclosed div is fixed in r91142 and empty list item removed in r91143. I'm going to leave the unclosed <p>'s alone. Now that localization is in progress, it's rather a pain to search and replace and pretty low priority.
