Firefox/8.0a1 Fennec/8.0a1
Device: Motorola Droid 2
OS: Android 2.2
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Fennec App
2. Browse to classic version of maps.google.com
3. After the Google Maps page is fully loaded, tap on Get direction link
4. While Alt button is tapped, hit any key with a number on it
5. Tap on Alt lock key and type "1981"
Expected result:
After step 3, "A" text field is focused and highlighted. After step 4, a number is displayed in the text field. After step 5, the numbers are added right after the one typed at step 4.
Actual result:

Naoki, do you see this on any other device with a hard keyboard?
I only have the droid 2 that comes with a hard keyboard.
Before the map loads, the alt keys work. After the map loads, the alt key does nothing.

I can confirm this on maps.google.com for desktop. The other desktop sites for Google (Images, News, etc.) work as expected.

http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/ff152a406ed3
it started happening on:
Build ID : Mozilla /5.0 (Android;Linux armv7l;rv:6.0a1) Gecko/20110430 Firefox/6.0a1 Fennec/6.0a1
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/7162a399c334

Looks like the fix for bug 699792 fixed this as well.
Works for me on the Droid Pro and Droid 3 with the latest native UI Nightly (the birch branch).
