OSError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/data/www/django/kuma-stage.mozilla.org/kuma/media/js/ckeditor_config.js'
We're adding a feature to our django admin site to edit the ckeditor_config.js file. The django app needs write permission to this media directory.

This will be problematic. That is a local directory on each web server (stage has 2 servers, prod has 3). If django edits it, only 1 of the servers will have the edited copy. So even if I fix the permissions, it won't really help you much.
Also, this file is in git... any local changes would be overwritten on the next push.
What are we trying to accomplish here? Maybe we can find a better way...

Dang, good point.
Sheppy wants to customize the ckeditor toolbar thru the django admin interface. ckeditor toolbars are configured via javascript:
http://docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_3.x/Developers_Guide/Toolbar
We're using ckeditor_config.js file for it. This admin section wraps a model around that file so we can update it without pushing code.
Another option is to make the ckeditor_config.js a django view that pulls straight from a db record. I'll have to check w/ Les and webdev if that's viable.

Okay I changed this to draw from the db field so we don't have to mess with files.
