? duplicate of Bug 647590 - Crash when sending e-mail with big attachment
Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: crash, stackwanted
I have had this problem also as soon as I upograded to V5. Doesnt crash for jpg attachments, just the pdfs.
I just had -probably- the same problem, but with a plain text file! It's reproducable: TB 5.0 crashes every time I try to save a mail (as a draft) with this one file attached.
My Crash ID: bp-85abfeba-d00d-47f8-841d-6e7be2110809
I'll try to attach my crashing text file to this bug report.
Here's the file that crashes my TB 5.0 (Mac OS X 10.6.8) if I try to save an email with this file attached. Please, can others test if they can reproduce the same behaviour? The test file is small (2525 bytes), so the bug should be not too difficult to catch.

(btw. the test file contains the Hungarian translation -in iso-8859-2 characterset- of the stop-motion shortfilm called "Zero")
Can confirm the problem.
Started with TB 5 and continuing in TB 6, on mac os 10.6.6

TB 5 Crash ID:
bp-141ebef3-af0f-4421-a960-9ba3d2110816

TB 6 Crash ID:

@bit2: yes, your TXT makes TB 6 crash, but this isn't happening with other files (txt or other formats)
Yes, the crash with this TXT was a first for me too. No other attachments caused a crash before. I asked my brother to run the test too (Mac, 10.6.8, TB 5) and he confirmed. It's possible that the problem is so unique (occurs only with a very small percentage of file attachments) that I'll never face it again. :-)
But having a reproducable test case helps in case a TB developer wants to take a look at this.
