Bug 656049 copied some of mozilla-central's configuration harness into comm-central, and they have since diverged.

Needs merging back in sync.
Porting 661855, 341223, 678475, 675691

with rs+=Standard8 (from prior e-mail convo allowing that for direct m-c ports.)
