The sign in dialog on the full site version of ESPN.com causes graphical flickering. On my HTC Thunderbolt it flickered a little bit before displaying correctly. On my Samsung 10.1 Galaxy Tab it flickered uncontrollably to the point I had to kill the tab.

On the desktop version of ESPN, upon tap of the Sign In, I see a large popup frame that causes really odd panning checkerboarding, panning and scrolling issues.

The "Sign In" popup issue, I managed to reduce it to this. Not sure if that covers all the issues that can be see on espn, though.

Ok, it turns out that I can't reproduce the issue with the testcase in landscape mode or on the tablet at all.
This is a screenshot when I see the bug occuring.

With this testcase2, I can see redness first and then checkerboarding later on, after 1s. I can see this on tablet and the LG Optimus black phone and on desktop.
But this might perhaps be a different issue, no idea.

I'm afraid I haven't been able to get a testcase that shows the bug on a tablet device, too, yet. Hopefully, the painting problem can be reproduce with the first testcase.
I'm still working on some other problems with the espn site.

This is what I get after following the str on espn.com.
I think the zooming out issue might be related to bug 676443.
The checkerboarding might in that case be bug 688047.
But it's all speculation, I'm afraid. I haven't been able to reproduce on Fennec Widnows, only on tablet and phone. I don't know of a way to inspect the dom from there.
The flickering might also have something to do with the large background image on the body getting repainted, when the position:fixed layer changes in opacity.

It was mentioned in bug 676780, comment 58, that after following the str, you can't close any tab or load a different url.
Anyway, the small size of the page shown as in the screenshot of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=561340 (and the issue mentioned in bug 676780, comment 58 has a regression range between 2011-06-27 and 2011-06-28:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?startdate=2011-06-27+00%3A00%3A00&enddate=2011-06-28+09%3A00%3A00
Changeset of 2011-06-28 build:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/383e60bc9089
Changeset of 2011-06-27 build:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/5e072732cb45
No idea what might have caused it.
Note that before the regression, for a brief moment, the site would also look small, but after that, it would immediately look ok.
