Bug 714281 hides the "all tabs" button unless the tab strip overflows. This makes "Tabs From Other Computers" hard to access on Windows. You can still find it on the classic menu bar, which can be toggled with Alt, but users may not know this. We should add "Tabs From Other Computers" to the Firefox button's History menu and probably remove it from the "all tabs" menu, since this doesn't provide a consistent experience anymore.

Seconded. I spent five minutes searching the new UI for it before giving up and using the classic History menu. It wouldn't even have occurred to me to look on the "All Tabs" list, which I never see anyway because I have Tab Mix Plus configured for multi-row. If this is still unassigned when I get home in a couple days I'll throw together a patch; it should be pretty simple.
Would adding a button for "tabs from other computers" to the toolbox palette also be possible?

Wait, it will be missing from the classic history menu?
(In reply to Tracy Walker [:tracy] from comment #6) > Wait, it will be missing from the classic history menu? No. The point of this bug is to treat both history menus consistently.

Adding user-doc-needed. Somebody is watching sync-ui@services.bugs, right...?

May I ask what decision that was made? Is "tabs from other computers" now treated consistently in both types of menus: being present in both history menus? Thanks.

Moving UI button element to menu is not a decision, pls satisfy https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=718147

This is very annonying since I no longer use the clasic menu bar, I wish other parts of the clasic where in the Firefox button but that is for another report.

The description on how to opne these should be in a FAQ sheet and or main site on how to use Firefox Sync.
So I am a noob to the entire bug reporting scene, obviously by this comment. I see that there is a patch. When should one expect it to be implemented? is there any reference that in the future when looking at other bug reports that indicate when one would expect it to be implemented either in the release, beta, aurora, or even the nightly-builds?

I knew this was possible how ever I have learned though with browser.allTabs.previews set to true it goes away.

It is landed, and will be in Firefox 12. It's fixed in Aurora and Nightly right now, and Beta very soon. > is there any reference that in the future when looking at other bug reports > that indicate when one would expect it to be implemented either in the > release, beta, aurora, or even the nightly-builds? I have no idea about any of this UI, nor do I have easy access to a Windows machine…
(In reply to Dão Gottwald [:dao] from comment #8) > Adding user-doc-needed. Somebody is watching sync-ui@services.bugs, right...? Some people, yes, although there's nobody directly responsible for any kind of user documentation. Services is — like everyone — buried under mountains of work, so nothing will get done unless someone steps up with updated docs that just need review, or explicit instructions about what docs need to be updated, and gets the work scheduled on our roadmap.
