Let's build out this awesome new page!
Chrissie - can you provide a suggested user friendly URL recommendation?
Craig - Will you be able to help build this out? The assets should be ready by this Thursday, and the final "go live" date is 2/24 (it may be tied to the Feb newsletter which drops on 2/29, if not Feb then will be in the March, but will still be good to have live)
Custom Webtrends tagging coming in a different bug...
Reassigning to Mike Alexis for resourcing, Craig's got a lot on his plate, so hang tight while Mike prioritizes and schedules with the Flux team.
Assignee: craigcook.bugz → malexis
Google's page lives at http://www.google.com/landing/newgadgets/
We're growing more landing pages, so I think organizing them in a "toolkit" silo makes a lot of sense.
URL recommendations:
mozilla.org/firefox/toolkit/download-to-your-gadgets
Thoughts?

Thanks, that sounds good. Mike - this is a Q1 Web Team goal and ties into a the Engagement devices campaign (launching through email, socal, etc.). The "live" date can have a bit of wiggle room depending on if this is featured in the Feb vs May newsletter.

+1, I like it.

Since we use "Devices" in our copy it seems inconsistent from "gadgets" - the copy is being nailed down now, but the headline will most likely be one of the following:
Firefox is Made for Your Devices
Firefox. Made for Your Devices.
Take Your Firefox With You
Firefox is Everywhere You Are
Would this work?
mozilla.org/firefox/toolkit/download-to-your-devices
Devices works for SEO consistency, so +1
mozilla.org/firefox/toolkit/download-to-your-devices

I just checked and this will be featured in March - so we have a bit more time for WebDev. Let's move the "Go Live" date to March 13.
Let me know if that will work.

For Social Media Module: Adding the dependency on Bug 725759. If that's not resolved in time exclude the Twitter and Facebook button icons designed into bottom footer of page.
Depends on: 725759

Implementation Note: Please implement so that we can link users to a specific pane within the page, if need be, through a URL #. For example, like we do here when linking people to the Cutting Edge section via: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/#cuttingedge.

All right, assigning this back to Craig Cook. He'll work on this after the One Mozilla blog.
CCing James, can you take a look at the PDFs in in bug 713673? Will we be able to implement this on bedrock? There will mostly be a little of HTML/CSS/JS. Craig would need some help getting bedrock set up, and can you check if the install buttons shown in the PDF file are all possible with bedrock yet?

Actually, this *might* work but it's going to be a little bit of a crunch due to the higher-priority bugs Craig is working on, as well as the Flux onsite the week of the 27th. If we had wiggle room to push this out another week if necessary, that would be terrific.

The download buttons should be fine. Looks like it's mainly an Android download button. That means it doesn't even need some of the fancy detection stuff.
We already have download buttons mostly working. Craig, let's work together and I'll show you what we have.

Hi Fred - I'd be happy to provide a bit more wiggle room. Since this is going out in the March newsletter which drops at the end of the month, having it by March 19th is possible - that would give about 4 more work days - will that work?

Hi Craig - We're just finagling final copy headlines, but 99% of the Devices landing page is ready to go! Have at it!
Launch Date: March 19th (or before, if possible!)
Have a look, and let me know if you have any questions.
Implementation Notes:
- There's custom tagging involved here attached in Bug 726681 (connected as a dependency to this bug)
- Let's use the new One Mozilla Social Media implementation modules in Bug 725759 (connected as a dependency to this bug)
- This is slated for the new Bedrock platform, so extra testing or time to develop this may be needed as you see fit - let me know if we can't hit the March 19th deadline
- There's actual functionality within each panel - see the UX notes here: https://etherpad.mozilla.org/DevicesUXNotes
- Please make it so we can link users to any of the modules as outlined in Comment 10
- If you come up with any other ideas on how to make this page as useful as possible, and as easy to use as possible, then my all means please share!

Craig, please follow bug 725683, which Steven is working on with Sean, the content from this PSD should be fitted into that template v. starting from scratch on Bedrock.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Here's the feedback I send via email:
First Panel - Desktop
- I'm still on Fx10 but the first panel says my Fx is up to date. When I go here, it senses I'm on a old version: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/speed/. Can we have the two be consistent?
Other "Nice to have"
- Would be cool if I could use the arrow keys on my keyboard to scroll through panels
Craig/Raymond - Since this is going out in the newsletter early tomorrow morning, is it possible to have a soft launch of this page today?
