User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2 Build ID: 20120222142406 Steps to reproduce: 1. Enter a multi-line signature via Tools -> Account Settings 2. Compose a new message. One blank line should be present, followed by signature separator "--" 3. Put cursor at the beginning of the "--" line 4. Press Backspace This was done on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer, Thunderbird 11.0. Problem existed in 10.X releases, too. Actual results: Signature was formatted from multiple lines to only one line Expected results: Signature format should have remained intact as multiple-lines
OS: Linux → Windows 7
(In reply to John Perkins from comment #0) Works for me. When I press backspace the signature is still multi-line. User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:11.0) Gecko/20120312 Thunderbird/11.0 Application Build ID: 20120312195326

(In reply to John Perkins from comment #0) Are you composing an HTML message? If yes, check bug 333229.
i confirm, this appens only in html compose under XP-sp3 and thunderbird 13.0.1 if pressing backspace before the "--" on the beginning of this line the signature bloc lost his "signature format" and become like a part of the normal texte
