User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0
Build ID: 20120312181643
Actual results:
Since I installed the tool "Thunderbird 10.0.2" on my Windows 7 Professional system, I get asked for it to become the default application for three items by the dialogue "System integration" on each program start. If I press the button "OK", this dialogue is not closed. I can only leave it by the "Cancel" action so far.
It seems that my observation is similar to the issue "OK button on System Integration popup not responding" (bug #613963).
Expected results:
My choice of settings for the displayed check boxes should be persistently stored after the click on the button "OK".

Yes, it looks to be the same. Do you still have the same issue in rv:11.0?

Are you running as a user or do you also have admin rights ?

Yes. - I observe the unexpected behaviour while starting the mail program as a restricted user and also as a system administrator.

Hum we should be nice with you. Something might not be right in your registry - I just don't remember the key that needs to be set.

Markus, do you still see this problem when using a current version?

Yes. - I wondered a moment ago again why the dialogue "System integration" from the application "Thunderbird 31.2.0" does not respond as expected.

The dialog had the code touched since TB 11. But you say it still doesn't work. Can you open the Tools->Error console after the OK fails? And see if there are any warnings or errors.

I can open the error console after I closed the dialogue "System integration" by clicking on the X button in the top right edge. It does not show messages which I would directly connect with usual or unexpected reactions because of my clicks on buttons with labels like "Set as standard" and "Skip integration".
Thunderbird works occasionally also without the system integration inquiry after program start in my Windows configuration.
Can I trigger it by a custom menu entry which could be provided by a small plug-in?

Now this is new. Do you say you get the Integration dialog everytime you start TB?

No. - Often, but not always.

Hello. I am running version 50.0b3 and am having the similar issue where the system integration dialogue pops up at each Thunderbird startup. No matter if I check "skip integration" and untick "always perform this check when starting Thunderbird," the dialogue still pops up at startup of Thunderbird.

Hi, your problem may be bug 1314236 (integration dialog opening on each start of TB). Please check it is not the same.
The bug her is specifically about the "OK" or Set as standard" or "Skip integration" buttons not doing anything (not closing the dialog) after clicked.

You can open the dialog manually via Tools->Options->Advanced->General->System integration->Check... button,

Some updates succeeded in a Windows 10 configuration in the meantime.
I am unsure if any software components were adjusted for this issue.

Sorry Wayne, moved on to Windows 10 on everything here now. Busy spinning up a Linux machine but have not got the Thunderbird configured yet.
